TOGETHER, WE’VE DELIVERED:
★ Expanded Regional Transit Access
Championed with Oakland Forward the largest transportation millage in Oakland County history—connecting Pontiac residents to the region.
★ Protected Pontiac’s Budget
Resolved the Phoenix Center lawsuit—saving the city millions and ensuring the developer paid the fees for the Village of Bloomfield.
★ Restored Youth Recreation
Co-authored the youth millage that provided $9 million over 10 years. Also worked to secure $3.5 million for a new Youth Recreation Center.
★ Fought for Retirees
Voted to restore employment benefits stripped by emergency management and ensured all eligible retirees received $400/month healthcare stipends.
★ Challenged State Takeovers
Served as plaintiff in a federal lawsuit against Gov. Rick Snyder and helped repeal Public Act 4, the Emergency Manager Law.
★ Eliminated School District Debt
With Oakland Forward and the Michigan Education Justice Coalition, helped wipe out over $10 million in Pontiac School District debt.
For 20 years, Kermit Williams has been fighting for Pontiac.
